DaisyMae’s Surgery

DaisyMae, my basset hound had to have surgery on her eyes today. Hopefully recovery will be quick and we can get this lamp shade off of her soon!

Balloon Crew #2

Hurray it’s balloon day again for the Bluegrass Balloon Festival! Today my husband and son joined me for a good balloon chase. Unfortunately the fog would not lift in time and we were left in anticipation of the chase. We were told if we saw the head of the cow, Chuggles, come up the race would be on! Oh well, better luck next year. At least we had fun getting the balloon, Cherry Bomb, ready to launch and packing it all away again. On the way out we stopped by to admire the cars that were arriving for the car show.

Puppies, Puppies and More Puppies!

Today was puppies, puppies and more puppies in the studio! Bailey, Gracie and Emily visited the studio today to get their first pictures together. At just a year old, they were full of energy. We had fun dressing them up for Howl-O-Ween!

Balloon Crew #1

Today was my first time on a hot air balloon crew at the Bluegrass Balloon Festival. I helped get the balloon ready for launch and then chased it and helped pack it back up. I never realized how heavy the basket portion is. I really had fun and can’t wait for tomorrow’s chase!

Baxter Ave

Today a friend and I went on a photo hunt and found some unique places on Baxter Ave. This old train platform was quite interesting, although I must admit, I am not as excited about graffiti as she was. I guess I saw way too much of it in Southern California and it really disheartens me to think that the wonderful historic treasures around here will become victim to this useless destruction.

Keeneland & Delivery

Today I delivered a print I have on display at Woodford Reserve to a group visiting for the Ryders Cup. My son and I stopped by Keeneland on the way home and happened to catch a horse sale.

Hurricane Ike

Hurricane Ike hit the Louisville Area hard today. Happily we did not lose our power like the 400,000 Louisvillians did. We did lose all the side at one end of our house along with some fascia, but nothing we can’t fix. I did snap a couple pictures of trees that fell. It’s sad to see these old giants fall.
