FAT Friday

If you have not experienced Franfort Avenue Trolley (FAT) Hop at the Melwood Arts Center, you must! Lynn & Terry of Lifetime Photography were kind enough to show us around. If you like eclectic art in a variety of medias, check it out. The art center is open everyday but the trolley hop runs the last Friday of the month.
We also met with David and Sharon to deliver their thank you cards. Great to see you again and I am so glad you like your cards

Road Trips to Texas

Yaawwwnnnn....

Wow, what a long drive that was! A road trip from Kentucky to Texas and back again in two days! Thanks to the help of a dear friend, my son is now moved back home from Texas. It is great to have him home again. I am exhausted but all in all the trip was fabulous! Lot's of fun, laughs and a chance to see some beautiful scenery, plus a quick side trip to visit with my brother and his sweet wife in Nashville.

Here are a few pictures from the trip, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them. Keep in mind, most were shot out of a pick up truck window rolling down the road at about 70 mph. LOL

Canon at the "Battle of Parker's Crossroad".

McKinney Texas, my son's former homeplace.

A log cabin at Red Caboose Park in Bellevue Tennessee

Crossing the Mississippi River from Memphis, Tennessee.

Our ladybug stow away.

Ok, so I was taking pictures of just about anything!

ok, not 'just about' but EVERYTHING! LOL

Lavon Lake, Texas

One of many gas stops along the way. My son was nice enough to pump for me :)

My son's car was full of various sizes of turtles....his nickname is Turtle.

Somewhere around Little Rock Arkansas. This was a major speed trap location, but I am happy to say, we did not draw any unwanted attention from the fine state troupers!

That black car followed us everywhere we went...oh wait! that's my son!!!

Redbuds blooming somewhere around Texarcana

Road Kill...Need I say more?

Not much to say, just lots of road ahead of us...

Almost into Memphis...only one more state to go through!

My baby brother :)
