Digital Darkroom

Last night was the Digital Darkroom meeting (a monthly meeting) of my Photo Club and we were presented with some awesome portrait touch-ups. Nate showed us some cool new software for portraiture work. It is wonderful to have good software to assist professionals in enhancing their artist eye. Thanks for a great class! This club is for both amateurs and professionals. If you have a love for photography, this is for you.

Portraiture takes years of practice and seems to be constantly evolving. Since this is my blog, here is my two cents worth. This is the difference between a true professional photographer and your local department store click and print or even uncle so and so with that really awesome camera. The true professional photographer takes the time to post process every image before the customer sees it, not because there was anything "wrong" with it to begin with, but to insure it is absolutely the best results.

Ok, here is an additional two cents worth, not only is it important to choose a Pro, but in addition to this, check their creditials. I am a member of several Louisville Area organizations including KPPA and PPAGL that promote educations and assure the best quality of all its members. This also gives our clients peace of mind to know that should the unforeseen happen, I have a wealth of other professional photographers available to step in and make sure that your event is covered.

Now I know I did not give you enough to pay for a cup of coffee...

For those hobby photographers reading my blogs in the Louisville area, come on out and see what our club is all about!

If you are a Louisville area professional photographer and have not yet been acquainted with the Professional Photographers of Greater Louisville, I strongly urge you to stop by!
